Interfaith Week
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
At Transform Work we get asked, "why do you encourage Christians to engage in Interfaith Week?"
The simple answer is that it is a wonderful opportunity for the Christian group to share the heart of the Christian message, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. As the most famous bible verse puts it,
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Engaging in interfaith week doesn't detract from this message at all but gives a platform, within a safe workplace environment, to share about the Christian faith. In the book of Acts chapter 17, when Paul arrived in Athens, he saw altars to many gods. One particular altar stood out as it had the words, "TO AN UNKNOWN GOD” written on it. Paul took this opportunity to masterfully share the one true God to those who had ears to hear. May you, leaders of Christian Workplace Groups, be like Paul and take the opportunities your organisation openly gives you to share the one true God during Interfaith Week.
