Julian Shellard

Chair of the Board of Trustees and Director

Julian spent much of his time in the civil service where he served as a lawyer in a number of government departments. He jointly founded Christians in Government UK, an umbrella group linking Christians in national government departments across the country, and led the organisation for a period as Christian in Government’s first Chair. Julian now works with a pharmaceutical company.

Mal Shaw

Trustee and Director

Mal is a programme delivery consultant who has worked with many major financial services companies and is currently with Atkins consultancy advising on engineering and government change. He is Transform Work’s South West ambassador which includes Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol and Swindon areas.

He has seen the impact that Christians can have in the workplace when they are open with their faith, and is keen to support new groups and help existing groups flourish.

Ofonimeh Umoh Abudu

Trustee and Director

Ofonimeh was called to the Bar of England and Wales before crossing over to enrol as a solicitor. She has two decades of experience in private and public sectors and currently works as an advisory lawyer. She is a strategic adviser, mentor and coach within the UK and abroad.

Ofonimeh has a passion to encourage Christians to connect and pray for their organisations, starting with their direct line of management. She is a member of a diverse network of churches where she enjoys leading sung worship.

Steve Matthews

Trustee and Director

Steve is a town planner with Sefton Council, just north of Liverpool, and has spent his entire career in local government. He is Transform Work UK Ambassador for Liverpool / Merseyside.

Steve has a passion to see Christians live out their faith on their work ‘frontlines’, to encourage Christian groups to set up and flourish in their place of work, and to be a positive influence on their organisations.

Ros Loaker

Chief Executive Officer

Ros has been involved with workplace ministry since 2003, supporting and growing leaders of Christian Workplace Groups across the professions, industry and commerce.

Her passion is to see Christians thrive, to engage with their communities and be a positive influence there… and for many of us, our communities are our workplaces. Her personal approach has been valued by many workplace groups.
