Transform Work UK is a charitable organisation whose aim is to see the UK workplace transformed, locally and nationally, by every Christian living out their faith in effective workplace ministry, leading to transformation over time in the nation's culture, values and spiritual environment.
Transform Work UK was born out of 2 workplace ministries, Getting God 2 Work, and the Christian Workplace Forum. These 2 organisations came to recognise that together, they could have a far greater impact than in isolation. They both had a strong history of supporting Christians in the workplace, and in many cases, there were significant overlaps in the organisations and people they dealt with. The new organisation was formed in 2007, working in close partnership with many other workplace organisations across the whole of the UK.
Transform Work UK's Delivery Arms
TWUK has three key delivery arms:
The first works directly with and supports Christian Workplace and Professional Groups. Ros Turner leads this stream of activity. To increase effectiveness and reach, she is developing a team of nationwide ambassadors who will be able to advise and assist leaders of Christian groups throughout the UK.
A support team led by Trevor Payne, who maintain the TWUK website and database of Christian Workplace Groups. This team also fulfils a range of other adminstrative functions to support the networking team.
The third activity stream is concerned with developing workplace guides covering a range workplace matters affecting Christians and for writing material for the website. This team is led by Adrian Miles.
Adrian, Ros and others also deliver workshops and presentations on topics such as managing workplace stress and developing Christian Workplace Groups.
The TWUK team is excited by what the future holds and where God is planning to take us. Our plans are ambitious, but we move forward confidently in faith. We are taking steps to develop the resources necessary and in recent weeks have had many people coming forward, expressing an interest in joining the TWUK ministry.
