Ideas for Groups at Easter
"What have fluffy bunnies, chocolate eggs and a man dying on a cross got to do with Easter?"
No it’s not the start of a crazy joke… it’s an actual comment that a Christian Workplace Group leader was asked by their colleague whilst working at their desk. What an opportunity to share why Jesus came and why he died and how is it that He is still alive today? Would you know how to respond in this situation? The answer for this particular leader was to arrange with HR to run an educational course for all staff to explain why Christians celebrate Easter with HR permission. The course they chose was called Alpha.
I wonder if you know what your colleagues actually think or understand about Easter and why we have a holiday at this time to celebrate Jesus' death and resurrection?
Below is a list of articles showcasing ideas and events from other Christian Workplace Groups. If you have a story to share please do let us know.
Before starting any activities for your group remember that it is important to keep your managers and HR aware of what you are doing. Management may be able to advise you on best practice for different circumstances. In many cases your group’s activities and the means by which you advertise them will require permission. Make sure that you discuss what you want to do first, not after the event!
Please contact us to let us know your ideas. We’d love to pray for you.
