Job advert – Team Administrator

Transform Work is a charity which supports Christians in the workplace by encouraging them to set up vibrant Christian Workplace Groups which pray for and support their organisation. Transform Work encourages groups to seek formal recognition as staff network groups under diversity and inclusion frameworks.

Transform Work currently has 2 part-time paid staff, and around 17 part-time volunteers. The majority of these are individuals who connect with and encourage both individual Christians and leaders of Christian Workplace Groups.

We are now seeking to expand our work and improve productivity by employing a part-time administrator to support our group building and support work. The successful candidate will report to the CEO who is responsible for our work in support of groups at the workplace.

Job Specification

This post holder will be responsible for supporting the Operations Director in her duties, including:

• Entering data into the Transform Work databases, conducting hubb:church queries, maintaining the databases (i.e. making changes to fields as required), events calendar
• Compiling and sending out the monthly e-newsletter having received contributions from others
• Liaison with a variety of Transform Work contacts

In addition, if the successful candidate’s skills and experience allow, he/she will be invited to undertake the following:

• Compiling reports
• Compiling website articles from a range of sources including interviewing people and summarising third party documents
• Maintaining a vibrant Transform Work social media presence
• Elementary graphics design for posters, website
• Making short videos and preparing for release on YouTube etc

Person Specification

Essential

• Comfortable making decisions without excessive supervision
• Familiar with MS Word, Excel and use of email
• Able to write emails, letters and occasionally documents in an appropriate style
• Able to use, with training, the Transform Work hubb:church online database
• Able to engage confidently with new contacts via email and sometimes on the telephone
• Able to self-organise around a given work schedule
• Reliable, completing assigned tasks to deadlines
• Able to learn and pick up new tasks and processes
• Able to work at home using own laptop and internet connection

Desirable

• Able to write short articles for website
• Skills/experience in social media
• Easily able to travel to central London approximately fortnightly (travel expenses will be paid)

Working Hours

It is envisaged that the successful applicant will work 4 mornings a week, but alternative work arrangements will be considered.

It is envisaged that the majority of the work will be undertaken at home; however, the post-holder will be welcomed to join the  Transform Work team  at our London office approximately fortnightly.
