Finance Officer?

Transform Work UK is a growing charity that is passionate to see this nation transformed through workplace ministry. We are looking for someone to join our team as the Finance Officer. This part-time role involves using Xero cloud accountancy software to record income and expenditure and inform financial decisions about how to grow the charity and support the CEO in her role of supporting and growing leaders of Christian Workplace Groups across the professions, industry and commerce.

Job Specification

The right candidate will be able to:
  • maintain the Xero ledger;
  • reconcile the bank account at monthly intervals;
  • make payments as directed by the Chair of Trustees, including salaries, pension and expenses;
  • prepare regular financial reports;
  • maintain a list of eligible gift aid donors and make regular gift aid claims with HMRC;
  • assist auditors with year-end accounts;
  • support the CEO in making revenue decisions; 
  • report to the trustees of the charity and inform them about its future financial decisions.

The role can be extended for the right candidate to include working on the charity’s website – submitting new ideas for pages, articles and events as well as maintaining donations and gift aid received this way.

Hours and Salary

Current incumbent works 3 hours a week. Hourly rate negotiable with Chair of Trustees.


Location within the UK is not an obstacle, as Zoom, WhatsApp and text assist in a large amount of communication and presentation although being able to visit the London office on occasion is desirable.
