Bring a Scripture
One of the best ways to focus people's minds on the love and hope of Jesus after a hard time at work, is to use scripture. Ask someone to share a few verses and to explain what the verses mean to them, and how they have been encouraged. Very often, just a personal explanation of how scripture has spoken to an individual will be very encouraging to others, but if they have special relevance to the workplace, this is even more likely to be so. Discussion often follows, together with prayer, and sometimes prayer for individuals' personal needs.
When going through a season of having people share scripture verses, it would be helpful to set up a rota for people to share. It is advisable to avoid lengthy monologues in a short lunchtime session, so make sure everyone shares only briefly. The important thing is praying over the lessons that may be learned for the workplace that arose from these personal thoughts.
