Easter at North Bristol NHS Trust

N Bristol NHS 1 N Bristol NHS 2

We have been meeting every Wednesday lunchtime in the hospital’s multi-faith space to pray for our workplaces. Having a regular time to meet has helped us in our busy days bring our work back to Jesus and see his provision in situations at individual and organisational level.

It has been great to meet and get to know members of staff who we would not otherwise have met and would not have known were Christians. It has led to a much greater sense of unity and togetherness in our workplace. It has been really powerful and encouraging to know that you are not the only Christian in our Hospital.

During this period we have made links with the Equality and Diversity Manager for the Trust, who has been very keen to support us in the celebration of Christmas and Easter. This Easter we had a cross outside the Sanctuary with tags that people could write and hang labels on which they had written things that they are thankful for. In the middle of the cross was the verse from John 10:11 – 'I am the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd lays down his for his life for the sheep.' See the right-hand picture above. The Chaplains brought the cross into the sanctuary for the Easter Sunday Service – see the left-hand picture.
