Wansdworth Easter Cheque presWandsworth Council Christian Workplace Group- Proceeds of collection from Easter Civic Service help local charity

The photo shows the presentation of a cheque for £130, raised from the collection at the Wandsworth Council Easter Civic Service, to the charity Back-Up Trust, one of the charities supported by the Mayor of Wandsworth.

The Civic Service was organised by the Wandsworth Council Christian Fellowship which meets Wednesday lunchtime usually between 1 pm and 2 pm. All are welcome.

(At the rear) Claire Barrett (Community Fundraiser from the BackUp Trust) and a colleague along with Nina Petrie, Wendy Murray, Bola Oyabayo and John Ruske (from Wandsworth Borough Council) and (front) clients receive the cheque for £130.

This is a fine example of a Christian Workplace Group working to enable an open celebration of the Easter events in the council, while at the same time supporting the council's charitable objectives.  True 'light' in the workplace!
